The Yuba Community College District Board has approved the contract with the new president of Woodland Community College. After conferring for about 10 minutes, the board voted to finalize the contract with Dr. Lizette Navarette. The search for a new president has taken several months to complete.

Eureka Man Found Guilty of Arson in Business Park

A Eureka man has been found guilty in Mendocino County Court of committing arson in a business park earlier in the year. Benjamin Ervin James Dimmick was also found guilty of burglary. Dimmick is due for a second trial in January. Sentencing will be considered after that trial.

Embattled Auditor Files Petition for Reinstatement
