The Savings Bank of Mendocino County has joined in an initiative to match down payments on homes in an effort to help more Lake and Mendocino County residents buy their first home. Through a grant program by the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, Savings Bank will reserve funds to help eligible low to mid-income first-time homebuyers with up to $30,806 in downpayment assistance.
