An accident killed two people mid-evening on Tuesday on Route 20 west of Upper Lake near Witter Springs Road at mile marker 6 in Lake County. Emergency responders reported two fatalities and an unknown number of people with serious injuries. Route 20 was completely closed for a time. An investigation is underway.
