Camper Who Fell Down Cliff Near Lake Pillsbury Rescued

A female camper fell off a cliff near Lake Pillsbury’s Fuller Grove Campground last night. Lake Pillsbury Volunteer Fire Department as well as CAL Fire and Air Ambulance all responded. Lake Pillsbury volunteer firefighters were able to assess the victim and bring her up out of the canyon she had fallen into.

Nome Fire Near Covelo 100% Contained

The Nome fire in the Covelo area near Short Creek has been updated to 100% contained during the overnight hours last night according to CalFire Mendocino. Personnel will remain on site to check for hot spots and clean up. The Nome fire started on Tuesday, covering about 20 acres in rough terrain.
