Mendocino Man Wanted on Assault With Deadly Weapon Captured

A Mendocino County man being sought by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office on charges of assault with a deadly weapon has been arrested. Anthony Pinola, last seen near Gualala was captured and booked into the Mendocino County Jail on two felony counts, threatening bodily injury and domestic battery.

Ukiah Awarded Almost $54 Million Grant for Water Recycling

The City of Ukiah has been awarded just under $54 million for expansion of its water recycling project. The grant from The California State Water Resources Control Board will reduce the city’s reliance on Lake Mendocino, the Russian River and groundwater for irrigation purposes.
