An excessive heat warning remains in effect for the Mendocino Interior through late tonight at least and may continue through the weekend and the beginning of the week. A family has been left homeless after a fire in their mobile home in Sherwood Rancheria north of Willits. The Keys Fire was reported around 11:30 am yesterday morning. Brooktrails Township Fire Department and Little Lake Fire Department responded along with a CALFIRE helicopter and airplane. The blaze was out by 1 pm.
