Covelo Man Found Guilty of Armed Robbery

A Covelo man has been found guilty of armed robbery. Georgie Eugene Hoaglin was found guilty of an August 2022 robbery in the second degree. Hoaglin already had a prior felony conviction. He is due back in court for sentencing on December 16th.

Ukiah Man Could Face 20 Years for Arson

A Ukiah man is to be sentenced for setting a series of fires in and around Ukiah in 2020. High Speed Crash Damages Lakeport Fire Protection District Station 52

A crash over the weekend has left the Lakeport Fire Protection District’s north station damaged. The LakeCountyNews reports that Saturday evening, a vehicle traveling at high speed crashed into the currently unstaffed Station 52 building, causing damages conservatively estimated at over $100,000. The driver was uninjured.
