A Covelo man has been found guilty of armed robbery. Georgie Eugene Hoaglin was found guilty of an August 2022 robbery in the second degree. Hoaglin already had a prior felony conviction. He is due back in court for sentencing on December 16th.

A crash over the weekend has left the Lakeport Fire Protection District’s north station damaged. The LakeCountyNews reports that Saturday evening, a vehicle traveling at high speed crashed into the currently unstaffed Station 52 building, causing damages conservatively estimated at over $100,000.
