Although a clear timeline for construction of the new Mendocino County Courthouse hasn’t been established, the process moves forward. According to the Mendofever, the project has won approval from the state Department of Finance. Costs for the project are climbing. Last year’s estimate of $118,00,000 has been surpassed, this year’s cost estimate comes in at closer to $144,000 million due to supply chain issues. The Mendocino County court executive officer has said their are many steps to the process ahead but speculated preliminary construction could start this winter.
