Payraise for Lake County Board of Supers Goes Into Effect in March

A substantial pay raise for the Lake County Board of Supervisors is due to take effect unless there is a public referendum to stop that action. The original proposal for a roughly 40% pay raise that would amount to 38.6% of Superior Court Judges’ salaries was brought in November. With mostly affirmative votes for the raise, which goes into effect March 10th, a public referendum is the only way to stop it. If the raise passes, sitting board members may find themselves challenged on the subject in the next election.
