Law Enforcement Agreement Between Lakeport and Clearlake Approved

A supplemental law enforcement agreement between the Lakeport and Clearlake police departments was approved by the Lakeport City Council earlier this week. The agreement will help to immediately ease Lakeport’s officer shortage. The two departments have a history of assisting each other with officer coverage. The council voted unanimously to approve the contract.

Fire Evacuations Called for Briefly in Area of Highway 53, Ogulin Road and Olympic Drive

Residences and businesses in the area of Highway 53, Ogulin Canyon Road, and Olympic Drive were ordered to evacuate for several hours yesterday as a fast-moving fire progressed.
