The family of a murdered Covelo man is offering a $10K reward for information leading to his killer’s capture. The family of Nicholas Shehli Whipple has offered the reward in order to locate Lee Anthony Joaquin, who may still be hiding in Hopland, two weeks after Whipple’s murder. Joaquin is considered armed and dangerous. Whipple’s family and a group of Round Valley Tribe members are offering the reward. Whipple is the third person from the same Round Valley family to be murdered. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.
