A ceremony to honor first responders will be held in downtown Lakeport beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at Lake County Museum Park, 255 N. Main St. The event is being hosted by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Tomorrow, the Lake County Fair Foundation will present the inaugural Agriculture and Natural Resources Career Day will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lake County Fairgrounds. Plans for Mendocino County’s new courthouse are on track, with funding for the new building included in the state’s proposed budget for 2022-23. The Ukiah project is ranked second on the list of courthouse construction projects planned this year. A smaller, $51.2 million new courthouse in neighboring Lake County is the state’s top “immediate need.”
