Lakeport Police Chief Brad Rasmussen announced yesterday he’ll run for the County Board of Supervisors. If elected, he would take his seat in 2025, shortly after he retires. The state’s attorney general has announced a settlement with five gas station owners for violations in Mendocino, Lake and several other counties. $1.7 million dollars in fines have levied against the companies for recurring failure to properly maintain, install, implement, and operate various spill prevention and safety measures since at least 2013.
