The Lake County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services and Lake County Community Development Department are asking for storm damage reports from the community. Lakeport Police Chief Announces He’ll Run for County Board of Supervisors

Lakeport Police Chief Brad Rasmussen announced yesterday he’ll run for the County Board of Supervisors. If elected, he would take his seat in 2025, shortly after he retires. He’ll challenge Supervisor Michael Green, appointed in October to replace Tina Scott, who stepped down in July to take a job with the Lakeport Unified School District.

Five Gas Station Owners in Mendocino, Lake and Other Counties Fined

The state’s attorney general has announced a settlement with five gas station owners for violations in Mendocino, Lake and several other counties. $1.7 million dollars in fines have levied against the companies for recurring failure to properly maintain, install, implement, and operate various spill prevention and safety measures since at least 2013.
