Highway 101 in Mendocino at Rattlesnake Summit, north of Laytonville is open again according to Caltrans. Heavy snow had closed down the freeway in that area for a good portion of the overnight and morning hours

Road damage due to snowstorms

Lake County has been dealing with road damage due to snowstorms in late February and early March. Elk Mountain Road in Upper Lake has been closed long-term as a result.
