Mendocino County Board of Supervisors Passes $421 Million Dollar Budget

The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors has unanimously passed a $421 million budget for fiscal year 2023-24. TheMendoVoice reports that after a length public hearing yesterday, the budget passed. Much of the public conversation was around cost cutting, including privatizing the county’s motorpool, merging the air quality management district with a neighboring county, and the COLA requested by the SEIU 1021 for county employees, whose contract is expected to expire at the end of this month.
