The US Geological service reported a 4.5 magnitude earthquake was reported on Saturday at 5:01 am located 3.6 miles southwest of Cobb and 13.4 miles north northeast of Healdsburg. There were a number of aftershocks, including a 2.7 magnitude temblor recorded in Lake County @ 5:09 am just west of Cobb.

The Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake Rancheria has received a grant to expand broadband services for households in the community. The $500,000 federal grant was awarded to the tribe through the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration.

The Skunk Train will be holding a special fundraiser for “Train Singer” Greg Schindel on Saturday. Schindel has been a fixture on the train and is facing cancer treatment.
