News Staff The Nome fire in the Covelo area near Short Creek has been updated to 100% contained during the overnight hours last night according to CalFire Mendocino. Personnel will remain on site to check for hot spots and clean up. The Nome fire started on Tuesday, covering about 20 acres in rough terrain.
