A Santa Rosa man has been arrested by Fort Bragg PD this week for threatening people with a gun during an altercation. Elijah Zapata tried to flee on foot when contacted by officers, and after a short chase was arrested. A search of the area nearby turned up an unregistered, loaded revolver. Zapata was found to be out on his own recognizance on other charges. He was booked into the Mendocino County Jail on numerous charges including criminal threats, brandishing a firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon. Due to his prior charges, Zapata was given a $50,000 bail enhancement.
