Earlier in the week, an as-of-yet unidentified 53-year-old Clearlake man was found hanged in an apparent from the Old Potter Valley Bridge just off Highway 20. A local man walking in the area found the decedent. The California Department of Public Health indicates that Mendocino has the 8th highest rate of suicide out of the Golden State’s 58 counties. Lake stands as the 2nd highest.
