Law enforcement in Mendocino County has closed the case of the death of a woman in 2013, whose passing was concealed by her daughter in order to continue to collect her mother’s benefits. The daughter passed away in April after police in Ukiah were notified by the older woman’s son. It’s believed the older woman had passed, and the daughter had buried her on her property. The cause of the older woman’s death was ruled natural by the County Forensic Pathologist.
