At their meeting yesterday, the Clearlake City Council voted unanimously to approve an emergency declaration in response to the recent storms in the area. The city has sustained some damage from the storms that will also qualify for federal disaster relief, including a culvert behind the Lakeport Unified School District fields that failed. The County Board of Supervisors at its meeting this past Friday also passed a separate declaration of a state of emergency.
