County Declares Creekside Cabins and RV Park Public Nuisance and Issues Health Advisory

Mendocino County Public Health is investigating concerns for the health and safety of the reisdents of the Creekside Cabins and RV Resort due to the large sinkhole that formed at the end of December. The county has issued a Public Health Advisory about whether septic tanks have been reached for monthly maintenance and whether there has been appropriate garbage disposal and retrieval. Also of concern is the impaired ability to replenish oxygen supplies for those residents who need it, as well as in general, access to electricity, the ability to travel to shop for necessities, attend work or school and receive emergency assistance if necessary. The health advisory follows the declaration that the property is now considered a public nuisance by the county.
