Man Involved in Hit & Run Spree In Willits Had 4 Times Legal Limit of Alcohol in His System

The driver who was involved in a hit and run spree in Willits was found to have at least four times the legal limit of alcohol in his system at the time. Jared Reed Thomason of Covelo, tried to evade police, collided with six vehicles before hitting another head on. The driver of the head-on crash was taken to the hospital. Thomason was booked into the Mendocino County Jail on charges of felony evasion, felony hit and run, misdemeanor driving without a license, and two misdemeanors associated with driving with elevated levels of alcohol.
