The Employment Development Departments latest report shows Mendocino County’s unemployment rate came in at 4.6%, down slight from November’s 4.7% and 6.7% for the same time last year. Mendocino County ranked 24th out of 58 counties. Lake County’s December unemployment rate dropped to 5.7%, down from 5.9% in November and 8.8% in December of 2020. Lake County’s rate of 5.7% ranked 40th out of the state’s 58 counties.
