Two people, 24-year-old Joe Nathan Boggs, of Lucerne, and 19-year-old Nina Phyllis Martin, of Nice, were arrested following a high-speed chase. PG&E Conducting System Inspections Program

This week, Pacific Gas and Electric Company is conducting its system inspections program using drones and helicopters along electric transmission lines that run through Mendocino County. The goal is to have all inspections completed in Tier 2 and Tier 3 areas by July 31.

Vegetation Fire Near Ukiah Controlled

A small vegetation fire near Ukiah was quickly controlled yesterday evening. According to Cal Fire Mendocino Unit, the vegetation Fire was at Hwy 101 near Nelson RD. Helitack and Hopland Fire, Ukiah Valley and Cal Fire all assisted at the scene.
