Lake County Expecting 3,000 Vaccine Doses This Week

Lake County is expecting about 3,000 first and second dose COVID-19 vaccines this week. That’s up a thousand from the number of doses received last week. Public Health Officer Dr. Gary Pace says the new one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be among the incoming doses.

Some financial relief could be on its way soon to California homes and schools. A $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package was passed on Saturday in the U.S. Senate, sending it back to the House for approval. The legislation includes direct payments of up to $1,400 to most Americans, and funding for reopening K-12 schools.
