Lake County Has New Position Dedicated to Climate Resiliency

Lake County has a new chief climate resiliency officer.  The LakeCountyNews reports Terre Logsdon has been appointed to the position funded by the first ever Prepare California “Jumpstart” grants, intended to help disaster-vulnerable communities.  This is the first full-time county position dedicated to this purpose.

The Mendocino National Forest has begun selling Christmas tree permits for the season online. Persons must be at least 18 years old to purchase the permit. To purchase a Christmas tree permit, visit Recreation.gov and search by forest name or use the interactive map to explore locations.

BLM Eases Fire Restricts for Public Lands Managed by Ukiah Field Office

The Bureau of Land Management has eased fire restrictions for public lands managed by the Ukiah Field Office in Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Solano, Sonoma, and Yolo counties.
