Saturday, Mendocino County Public Health Officer Dr. Andrew Coren declared the Creekside Cabins site a menace to public health and ordered the property to be vacated and then closed. Overflowing RV septic tanks covered the ground with sewage and it was found that the sewage had drained into an adjacent creek. A temporary bridge across the sinkhole is due to be installed tomorrow, and will be removed Friday. Anyone staying after that does so at their own risk.
