The Governor has expanded his proclamation of storm state of emergencies for 21 counties, including Lake and Mendocino. The governor last week proclaimed a state of emergency in 13 counties due to storms, and activated the California Guard and State Operations Center.

Lakeport Police Chief Brad Rasmussen announced yesterday he’ll run for the County Board of Supervisors. If elected, he would take his seat in 2025, shortly after he retires.
