A freeze warning is in effect from tonight into tomorrow morning for the Mendocino Coast Counties. Moderate to heavy rain is expected and higher elevations may see snow.

Earlier in the month, the Community Foundation of Mendocino County awarded grants to support animal welfare in Mendocino County. The Animal Welfare Grant Program has provided $208,000 to 13 organizations in the county, including the Humane Society for Inland Mendocino and the Mendocino Coast Humane Society.
