A community meeting about the Great Redwood Trail is happening on tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Willits Community Center. Meanwhile, State Senator Mike McGuire recently announced that a study shows the trail would generate over $100 million dollars annually for the North Coast. This “landmark project” is expected to have a “lasting positive impact” on local communities, according to McGuire. Parts of the trail are already accessible to the public in Eureka, Arcata, Fortuna, Blue Lake and Ukiah.
