CalWater Offering Residential Customers Help With Water Bills

Cal Water residential customers can check their eligibility to receive assistance with their water bill from the California Department of Community Services & Development’s Low Income Household Water Assistance Program based on income, place of residence and other factors. Recipients of CalFresh, CalWORKS and LIHEAP are automatically income-qualified for assistance.

Clear Lake High Used for Active Shooter Training During Spring Break

Clear Lake High was the site of active shooter training for law enforcement last week. TheLakeCountyNews reports the FBI led the two 16-hour Advanced Law Enforcemnt Rapid Respond Traning or ALERRT session. The training was conducted during spring break for the high school. Sixty officers from eight local and state agencies attended the training.

Mendocino County Receives Funding for Fire Safe Micro Grants

The Mendocino County Fire Safe Council has announced the second year of its Fire Safety Micro-Grant program and has doubled the funding available to $100,000 through a matching grant from PG&E. The funds given by PG&E will be designated for non profit organizations only. Applications are being accepted through the 30th.

Clearlake City Council Approves Two Construction Contracts at Regular Meeting

Lake County Holding Recreation Public Visioning Session On Tuesday

Lake County invites those residents interested in the city’s local parks, trails and recreation facilities to attend a visioning workshop being held Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 8 pm in the Board of Supervisors chambers in the Lake County Courthouse. There will be a brief presentation, followed by a visioning exercise. All ages are welcome.
