North Coast Opportunities or NCO has received a grant to launch the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program in partnership with the office of the Governor and California Volunteers. The LakeCountyNews reports the program will help communities around the lake by hosting events to encourage social interaction to help develop neighborhood resiliency during times of disaster. Neighbors Helping Neighbors will kick off this Saturday with the Konocti Bay Neighborfest at Galilee Lutheran Church. The pilot event will introduce Galilee’s Resiliency Hub as a resource for times of non-evacuation disaster for this neighborhood.
