A man lighting fires in the area of West Lake Mendocino Drive in Ukiah has been arrested and charged with recklessly causing fire to forest land. The fire was reported and a deputy dispatched to the area found local residents trying to extinguish the fire. The deputy located a man later identified as Jimmy Hendry, who said he’d seen someone else staring the fire. Surveillance video confirmed it was Hendry starting the fire. He was arrested and booked into the Mendocino County Jail on $157,000 bond.
