The California Highway Patrol performed its 25th helicopter rescue of the year on Wednesday. A report of an injured hiker on the Redbud Trail near Clear Lake sent CHP Helo-30 to the scene where a paramedic was deployed to assist the injured woman, who was placed in a rescue harness and was then lifted out and transported to a nearby hospital. Helo-30 also transferred a critically injured motorcyclist from AMR Napa in Calistoga to Santa Rosa Memorial later that day.
