Mendocino Co. & the North Coast could face unhealthy air quality through Sept. 4 due to smoke from fires in Humboldt and Del Norte counties as well as southern Oregon. Air Quality Management says air quality will be in the unhealthy range through the Labor Day weekend. The area may catch a break with a chance of rain in the forecast. The only active fire burning in Mendocino County is the Golden Firesouth of Willits and is 95% contained at 11.54 acres.
