CalFire Using AI to Monitor Fires, Fully Staffed and Ready for Fire Season

CalFire is using artificial intelligence to monitor live camera feeds for any signs of fire and will then issue alerts. TheLakeCountyNews reports that with yesterday’s first red flag warning of the year, CalFire is at peak staffing, with more boots on the ground than ever before in anticipation of the beginning of fire season. Equipment is staged and ready to go in Colusa, Glenn, and Sonoma Counties. Reserve engines are staffed and resources are added in Lake, Butte, Napa, Shasta, and Tehama counties.
