Washington State Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Willits

A Washington state man with a violent history has been arrested in the stabbing of a homeless man in Willits. TheUkiahDailyJournal reports at the end of June, officers responded to a call of a transient man being attacked. Law enforcement identified the attacker as Charles L. Nutter, who is wanted in Spokane, Washington for a similar attack. Fort Bragg police located Nutter, and booked him into the Mendocino County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and being a fugitive from justice. He’s being held without bail awaiting extradition to Spokane.
