A controlled burn on the south end of Ukiah jumped its projected boundaries yesterday. Firefighters had the blaze in the Oak Knoll Road and Fircrest Drive area controlled by just after 3. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office issued a situational awareness alert for the area.
