At their meeting earlier in the week, the Lakeport City Council took a look at the fiscal 2023-24 budget. TheRecordBee reports the draft document arrived at a figure of $18.4 million for the year. Expenditures for the city total almost $30 million, much of that coming from funding already secured for existing and upcoming projects. The city will have just over $808,000 in its general fund, and overall, the city looks to have a conservative deficit of right around $5,000. The budget will go to a vote for adoption at the next city council meeting on the 20th.
