PG&E Outage Affects Around 15,000 Mostly Along Mendo Coast and Anderson Valley

Roughly 15,000 PG&E customers along the Mendocino Coast, Anderson Valley and Fort Bragg were without power for several hours yesterday morning after a log hit a transmission line. TheMendoVoice says the company had been working on a transmission line that wasn’t expected to cause interruptions when a log from a nearby logging operation hit another transmission line causing the outage. Crews working on the first line stopped to repair the line that was hit. Power to customers went down around 8:30 am and was restored by around 1:30 pm.
