Mendocino College has announced it has received a $2.6 million Hispanic Serving Institutions grant from the U.S. Department of Education. TheUkiahDailyJournal reports the grant will help fund the college’s continued efforts to enhance student retention, especially focused on Hispanic students. Latinx students account for 41% of the total enrollment at Mendocino College, a 4% increase since 2012.
