A prescribed cultural burn is scheduled for tomorrow in the 13000 block of Nokomis Road in Hopland tomorrow. The burn is part of a return to care for the land by Hopland Band of Pomo Indians and is sanctioned by the Tribal EcoRestoration Alliance A), California Department of Forestry and Fire Protectio), and the Mendocino County Prescribed Burn Association. The prescribed burn of the 2.5 acre parcel will start at 7am and run until about 5pm. Smoke will be seen in the Hopland and Ukiah areas.
