The Clearlake City Council at their meeting this past Thursday discussed and allocated $500,000 in funding for the 18th Avenue Project, which will connect Old Highway 53 through the old airport site. There were some scheduling issues which necessitated making the allocation so that the funds would be available when needed. As part of that process, the contract approved on April 6th to start the project was withdrawn, with full notification of the contractor. The council will meet again to reauthorize the contract at a later date. The change is not expected to affect the construction schedule of the project.
