A Lakeport man was arrested for the hit and run of an elderly woamn. Al James fled the scene of the hit and run accident over the weekend. The pedestrian was conscious, and was transported to Sutter Lakeide Hospital for treatment and was then transferred to an out of county hospital where she is recovering. James, previously of Texas, was booked into the Lane County jail on felony hit and run charges on a $10,000 bond. Jail records state he was released sometime Sunday.
