Lake County Supers Vote To Have Governor Fill Board Seat

The Lake County Board of Supervisors has voted to ask the Governor to fill the seat left open by the resignation of Tina Scott. In making the request, the board has certified that it would not have time to mount a special election to fill the seat. There was only one public comment made on the matter, by Lakeport City Councilor Michael Green, who insisted that the seat should be appointed by the Governor.
