At its meeting last Wednesday, the Lake Local Agency Formation Commission approved a resolution containing the results of the protest proceeding against Lakeport’s proposed annexation of the South Main Street corridor. The protests have triggered the need for a special mail-in election of the registered property owners. The list of protests and protestors will need to be verified, as there was at least one deceased property owner on the current list. The City now has 45 days to take formal action.
