A special committee appointed by the Ukiah City Council has recommended that two buildings downtown be razed, including one that houses a much loved local business. The building that houses The Dragon’s Lair is clad in pressed metal, the only one of its kind left in the area. Discussion as to the pros and cons of preserving the building were heard and Council member Tim Eriksen reminded those in attendance that it was ultimately up to the council to decide the fate of the two buildings and that those opposed to losing the Dragon’s Lair building would have another chance to state their case.
