Mendocino County was among some of the first counties to receive COVID-19 tests as part of the state’s efforts to get tests into schools as the fast moving Omicron surge affects the population. The county was actually able to distribute tests to students before the holiday break. As the COVID-19 virus continues to morph from one variant to another, the Mendocino County office of Education will continue to work closely with state and local departments to provide students, staff and families with all they need to keep schools safe and open.
