Mendocino City Community Services District Board Changes Drought Status

In a special meeting of the Mendocino City Community Services District Board last week, a review of recent rainfall figures has prompted the board to move the county to a stage 2 drought. Stage 2 asks residents to cut back by 15% but does allow them to use their entire allotment. Board President Dennak Murphy said during the meeting that most residents use less than that. Also required would be designated irrigation times, no vehicle washing except with a bucket or positive shutoff nozzle on a hose. No refilling of fountains or ponds unless the water is recycled. No refilling of hot tubs or pools. Drinking water in restaurants by request only.
