A Lakeport man charged with assault and making threats has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. Morgan Matthew Jack was arrested in May and taken into custody on multiple counts, including assault with a deadly weapon. The court has appointed two physicians to examine Jack to determine his competency. The doctor’s report will be heard in Lake County Superior Court on January 25th. Jack remains in custody, with no bail.
